I am rather a minimalist when it comes to having nails and hair done, but do sometimes like a splash of color. Here’s a nail polish that contains ingredients to help nourish the nails. Dr.’s Remedy nail color contains tea tree oil and garlic bulb extract (natural anti-fungal and antibacterial properties), lavender, vitamins C and E, and wheat protein (increases nail shine). This product line was formulated by two podiatrists, Dr. Adam Cirlincione and Dr. William Spielfogel.
To sample Dr.’s Remedy, I was sent their new color, Mindful Mulberry. It’s a pretty muted berry color that is simple and yet stylish. I liked reading that their nail polish does not contain dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, or formaldehyde.
It does not smell like the garlic, tea tree oil, or lavender in it. My spouse usually complains about the smell of nail polish and he was by me the other night when I was applying Dr.’s Remedy Mindful Mulberry. I didn’t hear him voice his opinion of the unpleasant lingering smell like other nail polish brands. With working in the garden again, I think I’ll have to put on two coats to make it more opaque and not show any dirt lingering under my nails. :-/
Dr.’s Remedy Enriched Nail Care is currently available and almost 2,000 doctor’s offices nationwide and also many highly noted destination spas across the country. Several other colors beyond Mindful Mulberry are available and are made in the USA. This product is available on RemedyNails.com for currently $17.00.
An oral supplement titled “Dr.’s Remedy Enriched Nail Supplement” is also available. It is enriched with Biotin, an important nutrient for nails, skin, and hair.
